IS August to Late?

Postby Guest » Fri Mar 26, 2004 9:41 am

I'm a senior in college graduating in May of this year. Recently I decided that I would like to apply to medical school. I have not taken the MCAT and was going to take in in August so I could apply in September, but everything I read says you should take it in April. If I take it in August is that to late to apply for that September?

It's been a long time since I applied to medical school, but from what I remember, you can get all of your application materials in in September, and then once your MCAT scores are in you can send those in too. It is fairly common for applicants to do this.

I think it is only a very slight advantage to have taken it in April instead of August - as some schools might start interviewing people as their applications are complete. Overall, I think it most likely won't make a significant difference though.

Perhaps other people have different theories?
