I have not yet taken most of the medical school pre-requisite classes because I am majoring in philosophy and recently decided to pursue a career in medicine. Therefore I will need to take the MCAT before taking the required classes. If I take the exam next year, is there a reasonable probability that I can do well on the MCAT with nothing but independent studies? Would someone kindly recommend an MCAT oriented teaching material. I emphasize, "teaching" because the Kaplan and Princeton review?s are in-depth to the point of providing extraneous explanations that do not focus on doing well on the MCAT.
Thank you so much for anything offerd,
Jason
